  • The Gryazi municipality is located in the eastern part of the Lipetsk Region, bordering the Tambov Region and the Dobrinka, Usman, Lipetsk and Dobroye districts. There are 3 rivers (Voronezh, Matyra, and Baigora) crossing the district, and the region’s largest reservoir named Matyrskoye.

    The district has 60 communities including 16 villages and 1 city.
  • With its administrative seat in the city of Gryazi situated 30 km to the southeast of Lipetsk on the bank of the Matyra river.

    The municipality of Gryazi is a large railroad hub with three stations. It is an intersection of major railroads going north to south and east to west and connecting local Russian and overseas markets.
